Residents in Myrtle Trace are active, athletic, and very hospitable. A variety of activities are offered to keep everyone in good physical shape, lively, and/or socially in contact.

Water Aerobics

Aerobic exercises in the pool are set to musical instruction. Individuals work at his/her level and pace in the shallow end of the pool. The pool is heated during the cooler months.

When: Saturday, weather permitting  

Time: 5 pm

Sip ‘n Dip

A long time favorite of our residents, Sip ‘n Dip is just that – a poolside gathering where one can enjoy a favorite beverage (BYO) and good conversation with friends. If you’re in the mood, try a swim, too.

Singles Club

Single Residents – a group of Myrtle Trace owners who meet monthly for planned outings of cultural and social interest, including theater trips, exhibitions, shopping excursions, luncheons and dinners. The Club welcomes newcomers to join in at any time.

Socials

Periodically social evening events are held for the Myrtle Trace residents’ enjoyment. Food, entertainment, games, and prizes vary. The volunteer committees arrange parties with themes or to coincide with events or holidays. All residents are welcome.

Library

A library consisting of books, VHS tapes and puzzles is available to the Myrtle Trace residents. It is located inside the Club House lanai which offers an environment of solitude for browsing or reading. The library hours coincide with the pool hours.

Pool

The pool, located behind the Club House, is surrounded by beautiful landscaping. It is newly renovated and offers year round enjoyment. The pool is heated to 82degrees when necessary. Residents cool off, recline in the chaise lounge chairs and lunch under the umbrellas provided.

Hours: 8 am until 10 pm

Book Clubs

Book Club are very popular. Several have been organized, featuring a variety of topics, and monthly social events focused on the feature book. Photo shows the April meeting of the Dozen Cookies Book Club.

Bank Fishing

The lakes of Myrtle Trace are a great community asset for their scenic qualities as well as recreational bank fishing. A variety of fish provide challenges to local fishermen. No watercraft are allowed. Always be vigilant to the hazard of alligators.
